Privacy policy

The personal gold record is deliberately designed so the website server does not receive your holdings, serial numbers, certificates, notes or photographs.

Calculator inputs

Ordinary calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not submitted to the server.

Private ownership records

The “My gold” page stores records in IndexedDB inside your browser profile. Clearing site data can erase them. Exported backups are created locally and may contain sensitive information and images; you are responsible for securing those files.

Market data and server logs

The server retrieves public market data on a schedule and stores it in SQLite. Normal hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, request timestamps, user agents and error logs for security and reliability.

Advertising and analytics

This build does not include advertising or analytics scripts. If either is added, this policy and consent controls must be updated before deployment where required.

Third-party sources

Public pages may link to market-data providers. Following an external link subjects you to that provider’s privacy practices.
